It's big. It's revolutionary. It's used on a daily basis. It's bold and it has changed the course of the universe. What is it? It's called the Emoji. What is an Emoji? According to the all-knowing dictionary *ahem Urban Dictionary ahem,* an emoji is the "tiny pictures you can put on your texts."

The iconic yellow creatures were invented by Shigetaka Kurita. The designer first created the emojis exclusively for cellphones. Kurita created them while he was still a member of NTT Docomo's i-mode. So people of the internet, let's show this guy some love.

I have to confess that I am an emoji fanatic. I can proudly say that I use at least 2 emojis when I text, email, or message anyone. In fact, here are some of my recently used emojis. What can I say? Emojis bring a little twinkle to your texts. #sorrynotsorry
